The perilous 1,000-mile journey to save Africa’s endangered black rhinos

His Excellency Mr Rupiah Bwezani Banda, President of the Republic of Zambia has honoured Peace Parks Foundation by agreeing to become an honorary patron of the Foundation.
Zambia is partner to four transfrontier conservation areas (TFCAs): The Kavango Zambezi TFCA, set to become Africa’s largest conservation area; the Malawi-Zambia TFCAs; Liuwa Plain-Mussuma TFCA between Angola and Zambia; and Lower Zambezi-Mana Pools TFCA between Zambia and Zimbabwe.
The Foundation has eight more honorary patrons, namely President Jose Eduardo dos Santos (Angola), President Armando Emilio Guebuza (Mozambique), President Lt SKI Khama (Botswana), His Majesty King Letsie III (Lesotho), His Majesty King Mswati III (Swaziland), President Robert Mugabe (Zimbabwe), President Hifikepunye Pohamba (Namibia) and President Dr Bingu wa Mutharika (Malawi)
