The perilous 1,000-mile journey to save Africa’s endangered black rhinos
28 October 2022
The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority is working closely with neighbouring countries such as South Africa, Botswana and Mozambique to develop its transfrontier parks in the run-up to the 2010 World Cup.
Among those currently being formalised are the Kavango Zambezi, Great Limpopo and Zimoza Transfrontier Parks, says the ZTA‘s Ndapaneyi Mukwena.
Work is also under way on the Beitbridge border to decongest the border traffic.
A new hotel will be built and “attractive investor incentives” are being introduced to generate interest and develop more infrastructure in and around the transfrontier parks.
