Limpopo National Park

Transfrontier park bountiful

The southern African Transfrontier Park initiative is bearing fruit particularly as far as endangered roan and sable antelope are concerned.

These relocated species have adapted well to the new environment.

Since being moved to the Mozambican side of the park the small sable population has grown to where it now numbers over 40 in two separate herds. Most wildlife introductions into the Limpopo park have been successful.
