Students receiving tips on personal finance

Apart from the official training programme to equip them to work in the hospitality industry, students at the SA College for Tourism are also assisted in other ways.

During their orientation week, a national bank presented a seminar on personal finance, guiding students on better banking and personal finance options.

The HIV/Aids and Tuberculosis seminar

During the same week, the local hospice held an HIV/Aids and Tuberculosis seminar. The hospice also assists student throughout the year, with blood tests and support to those who have tested positive.

Later in the year the students receive first-aid training, as well a talk on breast cancer awareness, which includes free examinations.
