Conservation at scale depends on long-term partnerships
Peace Parks’ work is long-term and collective, led by governments and shaped by the communities and partners who sustain these landscapes.
To respond at the scale our landscape challenges demand, we work with a wide range of partners who bring expertise, delivery capacity and financing.
Over time, this has created a broad funding base across government, foundations and trusts, lotteries, corporate partners and private individuals. Different forms of support make different kinds of work possible.

Partners4Nature
Designed for the realities of conservation
Conservation at this scale cannot be done alone. Partners4Nature brings together committed long-term partners and flexible funding to help move priority work forward across Peace Parks’ landscapes.
The Fund can provide catalytic, bridge and emergency funding where it is needed, while directing roughly one third of its funding to partners working alongside Peace Parks.
By the end of 2025, Partners4Nature had provided USD 11.9 million in catalytic, bridge and emergency funding, unlocking a further USD 15.5 million from partners.
In the Greater Mana Pools Ecosystem, catalytic funding helped the newly established co-management trust bring more rangers into the field, upgrade ranger housing and repair an airstrip critical to tourism. This progress was followed by further investment through the European Union’s NaturAfrica programme.
Institutional & Foundation Partnerships
Government agencies, bilateral and multilateral institutions, foundations, trusts and lotteries have supported Peace Parks across landscapes, protected areas and programmes for decades…

Between 2016 and 2025, public funding, foundations and trusts each accounted for approximately 39% of Peace Parks’ funding, with lotteries contributing a further 16%.
This support enables work ranging from long-term protected-area management and infrastructure to community development, wildlife restoration, training and cross-border conservation.
In Malawi, funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development through KfW supported the Nyika Vwaza Water Scheme, providing safe drinking water to up to 18,500 people living alongside the protected areas.
Across the portfolio, partners including the European Union, Global Affairs Canada, KfW, the Global Environment Facility and the Postcode Lotteries support work across Peace Parks’ priority landscapes and programmes.
Corporate Partnerships
Corporate partners have contributed funding, technology, specialist expertise and other support to Peace Parks’ work.

Current and long-standing partners include companies working with Peace Parks across protected areas, technology, wildlife crime, tourism and landscape programmes. Club 21 members who have contributed USD 1 million or more include Cartier, De Beers Group, Esri, Richemont, TotalEnergies and Vodafone Group Foundation.
There is also scope for larger collaborations built around significant conservation work. These may bring together a company’s expertise, technology, networks or brand with flagship wildlife restoration, conservation technology, protected-area transformation or other major initiatives.
We welcome partnerships and sponsorship opportunities that align with our conservation priorities, create meaningful value and engage wider audiences.
Philanthropy & Major Giving
Private individuals and families have played a significant role in Peace Parks since its establishment, often supporting work that requires both long-term commitment and the flexibility to act when opportunities arise.

Major philanthropic support can help establish and strengthen protected areas, advance work across entire landscapes, build long-term conservation finance and provide flexible funding where it can have the greatest effect.
Some of Peace Parks’ most enduring relationships are with philanthropists and families who have supported the organisation over many years. Club 21 recognises individuals, families and companies that have contributed USD 1 million or more towards the work of Peace Parks Foundation.
Some donors come to us with a particular landscape, species or issue they would like to support. Others begin with a commitment to conservation and a desire to understand where their support can matter most.
For some, the best place to begin is to see the work first-hand.
Peace Parks Quest
Full description
Only a small number of Quests are hosted each year. Guests spend time with the people driving the work, including rangers, ecologists, veterinarians and community leaders, gaining direct insight into the skill, complexity and perseverance required for people and nature to thrive.
Each Quest is shaped by the landscape, the conservation work underway and the interests of those taking part.
Individual Giving
Individual supporters have been part of Peace Parks since its establishment and continue to contribute to conservation across southern Africa…
