Leave a Legacy of Real Impact
Beyond borders. Beyond generations.
Since 1997, Peace Parks Foundation has worked with governments, communities and partners to protect and restore some of southern Africa’s great natural landscapes. A legacy gift can help ensure that communities continue to benefit from healthy natural resources, wildlife remains protected and these landscapes endure for generations to come.
Southern Africa contains some of the world’s most important conservation landscapes. They provide water and natural resources for communities, sustain wildlife and contribute to local and national economies.
Â
Protecting them requires more than short-term projects. It requires capable institutions, trusted partnerships, professional management and funding that can endure.
Why Peace Parks
Peace Parks works with governments, communities and conservation authorities to professionally manage protected areas and strengthen the ecological linkages between them across national borders.
Our role is to help build the partnerships, management systems and institutions needed to protect these landscapes over time.
Our approach combines:
Long-term protected area management
Community development and participation
Sustainable conservation finance
Cross-border conservation partnerships
This work helps create lasting benefits for both people and nature.
A legacy that lasts
A bequest or legacy gift allows future generations to build on the progress being made today.
You may choose to support Peace Parks’ work broadly or direct your legacy towards a particular landscape, programme or area of work that reflects your interests and values.
If you would like your legacy to give Peace Parks greater flexibility, Partners4Nature allows funding to be directed where it is needed most, helping us respond to emerging priorities, changing needs and opportunities across our work.
We will work with you to ensure that your intentions are clearly understood and that your gift is managed responsibly and in accordance with your wishes.
Planning your legacy
There are different ways to include Peace Parks in your estate, including leaving a specific amount, a percentage of your estate or a particular asset.
Through our partnership with Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr’s Trusts & Estates team, supporters internationally can also access specialist advice on:
- bequest structures
- wills and codicils
- relevant legal and tax considerations
- international giving options where appropriate
