The funding that keeps conservation moving
Traditional conservation funding is essential, but it is often tied to specific projects, budgets and timelines. The landscapes where Peace Parks works are remote, complex and dynamic. Opportunities cannot always wait for the next funding cycle, and gaps can interrupt teams and operations.
Partners4Nature provides flexible catalytic, bridge and emergency funding so work can continue, opportunities can be acted on quickly and larger investment can be unlocked.
“Partners4Nature gives us the space to try, fail, learn, and persist until we find solutions that truly fit the context.”
Lilian Spijkerman
Chief Development Officer
Every dollar invested through Partners4Nature is designed to unlock greater conservation impact by enabling implementation, attracting additional funding and strengthening long-term partnerships.
Three ways Partners4Nature can respond
1
Catalytic Funding:
2
Bridge Funding:
Short-term funding that keeps important work moving between funding periods or while longer-term funding is being secured.
3
Emergency Funding:
Funding that can be released quickly when an unexpected problem or urgent risk threatens ongoing work
Partners4Nature in Action
Partners4Nature provided USD 2.9 million million to support the establishment and early operations of the Greater Mana Pools Conservation Trust in Zimbabwe. This helped bring additional rangers into the field, improve ranger accommodation and repair the park’s airstrip, strengthening day-to-day management and safeguarding tourism access.
The investment also helped secure a further USD 4.6 million from the European Union’s NaturAfrica programme, extending support for the long-term management of the Greater Mana Pools landscape.
