Support for SA College for Tourism

The Swedish Postcode Foundation has donated more than R2 million to the SA College for Tourism.
The Swedish Postcode Foundation is a beneficiary of the Swedish Postcode Lottery to support projects that work towards a better world.
The huge donation by the Swedish Postcode Foundation to the SA College for Tourism will assist in funding the core business of the College, which is to train 90 marginalised women in hospitality services, there-by enabling them to work in the fast growing tourism industry of southern Africa.

It will also play a major role in tracker training. The SA College for Tourism Tracker Academy was established in January 2010 with the aim of preserving the age old traditional knowledge and skill of tracking. Sixteen tracker trainees, of whom at least half will be women, will be trained annually at the Academy as of 2011.

This tremendous support by the Swedish Postcode Foundation follows on the fantastic announcement made by the Swedish Postcode Lottery on 13 October 2010 that Peace Parks Foundation Sweden has become one of its permanent recipients, with a first very generous donation of R5.1 million.
