Forensic Financial Analyst: Integrated Wildlife Zones
We are looking for a Forensic Financial Analyst to join our team.
The Forensic Financial Analyst will be employed by the Peace Parks Foundation and seconded to the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment (DFFE), within the Environment Enforcement Fusion Centre (EEFC).
The primary role of the Analyst is to support the Integrated Wildlife Zones initiative by processing and analysing various fraud-related risks and wildlife crime occurring within the seven Wildlife Zones in South Africa. The Analyst will work closely with national and provincial stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of a coordinated response to combating wildlife crime.

You are a great communicator, explorative, creative, outgoing and are very organised. You understand donor needs and why donors are in a partnership with Peace Parks. Managing proposal development processes and multitasking while meeting deadlines come naturally. You have preferably got fundraising experience or can justify why you would be a good fit for this role.
Peace Parks is about conservation at scale. The purpose of a Fund Developer is to expand and diversify Peace Park’s donor base and mobilise funding for people and nature. This is done through developing new and creative partnership opportunities, developing lasting partnerships, and communicating Peace Park’s messages in an engaging way. The role includes identifying funding opportunities aligned to priority funding needs, raising awareness among donor audiences, crafting proposals/applications, writing and/or contributing to informative reports, contributing to communication products and acting as donor liaison/relationship manager.

Peace Parks Foundation is hiring a Provincial Wildlife Crime Liaison in Pretoria.
The Provincial Wildlife Crime Liaison will act as a critical interface between the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) and provincial stakeholders to support the implementation of the objectives of the Strategic Framework for the Integrated Wildlife Zones of South Africa (and the National Integrated Strategy for Combatting Wildlife Trafficking in South Africa). The role focuses on building strong relationships, facilitating cooperation between national and provincial levels of government, and enhancing collaboration with private conservation entities within the province.
Responsibilities include providing general support to the provincial government, as needed, in areas relating to combatting wildlife crime in the province and raising awareness of the National Integrated Strategy for Combatting Wildlife Trafficking in South Africa and other policy or legislation identified among provincial stakeholders and monitor the progress of its implementation.

Peace Parks Foundation is hiring a Security Coordinator for the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Conservation Area (GLTFCA).
The Great Limpopo Transfrontier Conservation Area (GLTFCA) Security Coordinator coordinates wildlife and forest crime interventions in the transboundary landscape. They will lead the development and implementation of strategies and support governments to disrupt wildlife crime networks, improve anti-poaching efforts, and encourage collaboration among stakeholders in the GLTFCA.
Responsibilities include planning, data collection, monitoring and reporting, assisting the GLTFCA Mozambique Project Manager, and supporting the Nodal Joint Security Committees.

Peace Parks Foundation is hiring a Project Coordinator for Limpopo National Park in Mozambique.
The role will help the organisation in planning, executing and finalising projects in Limpopo National Park according to strict deadlines and within the stipulated budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of the various stakeholders and teams to ensure the efficient and effective achievement of project objectives.
The Project Coordinator will also be responsible for monitoring progress, identifying and mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with the organisation’s policies. In addition, they will be key to ongoing communication between partners, funders and other stakeholders, ensuring that project activities are aligned with the organisation’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities include undertaking full project management responsibilities of selected park projects, programmes and donor programmes, project and park management support to the Park Warden and Head of Operations and Development, depending on the candidate’s area of expertise, potentially taking the lead in the project management oversight of selected park departments (e.g. Infrastructure, tourism, community, public relations etc), and supporting the development and monitoring of annual park work plans and budgets as well as the development of project task plans.

Peace Parks Foundation is hiring a Chiefdom Officer in Zambia’s Sesheke/Mulobezi Sector.
The Chiefdom Officer will collaborate with key government departments and provide technical support to the Community Forest Management Group (CFMG)/Community Resource Board (CRG) and its substructures in the implementation of community-driven household-level livelihoods improvement and community impact projects in the assigned Chiefdom.
The Chiefdom Officer is responsible for supporting the Village Action Groups (VAGs) in conducting a needs assessment to feed into the CFMG/CRB annual work plans. The Chiefdom Officer takes accountability for data collection and entry, and updating of all Community Engagement chiefdom databases, performance trackers and dashboards. The position will report to the Site Operations Manager.
Responsibilities include day-to-day, in-the-field engagement with rural communities at chiefdom level, supporting the formation of CFMG and helping the Chiefdom secure forest carbon user rights, implementing community engagement and livelihood community development activities aligned to REDD+ in the assigned Chiefdoms, encouraging participation of households in developmental activities intended to create lasting financial returns at the household level, implementing awareness-creation strategies aimed at promoting the broad participation of the CRB sub-structures or forest user groups in the development and implementation of CRB annual work plans, and providing technical support to the CRB/CFMGs in the implementation of project activities to ensure adherence to verified carbon.
