Thrill seekers can already start booking adventures in the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park.

The 3,3-million hectare conservation area - which includes the Limpopo National Park in Mozambique, Kruger National Park in SA and Gonarezhou National Park in Zimbabwe - has yet to be officially opened, but tourists are invited to book now.

"Three ventures are operational or open for booking," said Glynn O'Leary of Transfrontier Parks Destinations.

The packages include the Shingwedzi 4x4 Eco-trail, Machampane Wilderness Trails- Camp and the Massingir Hiking Trail.

The Shingwedzi trail is a five-day, self-drive offroad route, which leaves from the Punda Maria camp in far northern Kruger and crosses into Mozambique's Limpopo National Park. It ends at the Lebombo border near Komatipoort in South Africa.

The Machampane Wilderness Trails Camp is for the active. The fourday trail is offered at luxury Machampane camp, on the Machampane River in the Limpopo park.

The rugged Massingir Hiking Trail, also for the fit, follows the Machampane river gorge. Maximum eight people.

Book for Machampane and Massingir trails on 012-426-5111; book for Shingwedzi 012-348-2708.
