Machampane Tented Camp
Construction of Machampane Tented Camp, which sleeps 16 people in eight luxury tents, was completed and opened for business on 7 December 2005, to coincide with the opening of Giriyondo Access facility.
The Machampane Wilderness Trail operates from the camp and offers a 3 night / 4 day experience with daily walking trails in the company of experienced armed game rangers. This trail started operating in October 2005.
The opening of Giriyondo and the completion of the road from Giriyondo to Massingir (also in December) affords greatly improved accessibility to the park and to Machampane Camp.
